Dog-Friendly Beaches in Huntington Beach, California
Huntington Dog Beach is a mile and a half of sand set aside specifically for dogs, and on a warm weekend it is one of the liveliest dog scenes in Southern California. It is run with the help of a nonprofit that maintains the stretch, and the surrounding Orange County towns have plenty of patio dining to pair with it.
Leash rules and seasonal restrictions
Huntington Dog Beach occupies a designated stretch of the city shoreline where dogs are permitted; leash requirements and hours are posted at the entrances. Dogs are not permitted on the rest of Huntington City Beach. Parking is metered and fills early on summer weekends.
