Terms of Service

1. The service

Roam with Maxx helps you discover pet-friendly lodging, restaurants, events, parks, beaches, and emergency veterinary clinics, and save them into trip itineraries. The service is provided for personal, non-commercial use.

2. Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account.
• One account per person; do not share accounts or transfer them to others.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to disrupt, hack, or reverse-engineer the service
• Scrape or bulk-copy place data, listings, or other users' content
• Upload content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes others' rights
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Third-party listings and accuracy

Place information (business names, addresses, hours, pet policies, photos) comes from third-party providers and user contributions. We do not guarantee its accuracy or completeness. Pet policies change — always confirm directly with a business before traveling. Emergency veterinary listings are for informational purposes only; see our Veterinary Disclaimer.

5. Affiliate links

The service may include links to third-party retailers. If you purchase through an affiliate link, we may earn a commission. We are not responsible for the products, pricing, availability, or practices of third-party retailers. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

6. Paid plans

• Paid subscriptions (if offered) are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment provider.
• You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods unless required by law.
• We may change plan prices with at least 30 days' notice.

7. Intellectual property

The service, its design, text, graphics, and software are owned by us or our licensors. Your trip data and uploaded content remain yours; by using the service you grant us a limited license to store and display that content to operate the service.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that listings are accurate or current. Travel decisions are yours; verify critical details (pet policies, hours, availability) independently.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR $50 IF YOU PAID NOTHING).

10. Changes and termination

We may modify these terms with 30 days' notice; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or discontinue the service at any time. You may delete your account at any time by emailing support@roamwithmaxx.com with the subject "Delete my account."

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina.
